Genesis 30 Jewish Portrait of the Rapture

I have read it so many times and never seen this .

In the Bible story, Jacob works 7 years for Rachel. And they were both so excited to be married. The Bible says that these 7 years were but as a few days. Then came the wedding night.

All was well, lots of party and wine was enjoyed by all. And in the morning Jacob awakens next to his bride, but it’s not who he had been promised. He wakes up to Rachel’s sister, Leah! So he confronts her Father and he makes a new deal….

Then Laban says fulfill her week and after 7 more years you can have the one you’ve loved all along.

This is what I have never seen before.

This story is actually picture of the rapture that is to come. The church is represented by Leah. And Israel the beloved one, her sister, Rachel.

Right now even as you read this, Israel awaits the Lords return. Just as Rachael waited with anticipation as the glorious day was approaching .

Imagine what Israel will say when Jesus comes in the clouds for all to see, but instead of taking them…..the gentiles and those crazy messianic brothers go up! There will be much weeping on that day.

Then they too will seek the Father. To their dismay He will explain, they must endure 7 more years. As it was for Rachael they will be the hardest years of their lives, but they will endure because their eyes have seen their Lord and they now want more than anything to be reunited with him.
